If at home wedding invitations less expensive than ordering online?

I am a graphic designer trying to help a friend with wedding invitations it. She likes the look of letterpress invitations. Certainly can mimic the appearance and printing in a professional printing as Kinkos. (After to look at the Kinkos website, I believe that cards with envelopes cost $ 1.20 each + tax.) I've never gotten into scrapbooking, but I've been looking at the Cuttlebug and typography in craft stores. Anyone with cardmaking / scrapbooking experience, please let me know how you think the average end cards Once it cost to invest in the tools. What tools do you recommend? I do not mind spending a bit on this, as is their wedding gift and I will most likely be minding my own wedding invitations in the coming year. Thanks for your feedback.
